Synopsis: Boris Morev is an ambitious young man with a fixation for money and success. He falls in love with beautiful girl Irina, but marries the daughter of a rich manufacturer. The passion between Irina and Boris does not abate and their relationship continues in secret. Meanwhile Irina has become a successful doctor and is spiritually independent. At the end of their lives, both of them realize that they were meant for each other, but it is too late.
