Synopsis: 20 year-old Maria is taken by her father to a mountain hotel nearby Sofia. She is expected to feel happy there: the villa offers excellent conditions. All the men are making advances to her. She herself is pretty and intelligent. Yet, she is in love with a man who loves another woman. She is at odds with her parents and is not inclined to compromise. Still, she is able to be kind for love. The man, she loves, and his young wife, have no place to live in. Maria provides them with a shelter to her own detriment. Her relatives are scandalized but she believes she has done the right thing.
